Contracting Trust offers an escrow service for contractors and homeowners to securely manage payments, ensuring the protection of both parties during the course of a project. Our platform facilitates payment processing, contractor background checks, permit verifications, and milestone-based payments to ensure transparency and fairness.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration and project setup.
- Use our services in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all payment information provided is valid and authorized.
- Refrain from using the platform for illegal or fraudulent activities.
4. Payment Terms
By using our escrow services, you agree to deposit funds into our escrow account for the duration of the project. Payments will be released to the contractor only when agreed-upon milestones are completed. Disputes will be handled outside of the platform, and we will follow the legal rulings regarding the release of funds.
5. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between the homeowner and contractor must be resolved outside of our platform. We will follow any legal decisions related to these disputes, but our role is limited to securely holding funds in escrow until an agreement is made or a legal ruling is issued.
6. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may terminate your account at any time by notifying us, but any outstanding projects or payments must be resolved before account closure.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any damages, losses, or costs incurred as a result of using our platform, including delays, payment issues, or disputes between users.
8. Service Guarantee
If a homeowner looses more than $10,000 that a contractor mishandled during a project that Contracting Trust was overseeing, then Contracting Trust will return the money that the homeowner paid to Contracting Trust for the services that Contracting Trust provided. This does not include any money put into escrow for the project.
9. Privacy

10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contracting Trust, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your locale, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action related to these terms shall be filed in the appropriate courts in your locale.
